Call for Scores — what is it?
Call for Scores is a project of Baku Contemporary Music Society and Cadenza Contemporary Orchestra. Composers' works are evaluated by the members of the Artistic Council of Cadenza Contemporary Orchestra: Sara Timurova (musicologist), Ayaz Gambarli (composer), Said Gani (composer), Tahir Ibishov (composer), Turkar Gasimzada (composer). The selected scores are performed on the orchestral readings and concerts by the Cadenza Contemporary Orchestra.

2026-cı il mart ayında Bakı Müasir Musiqi Cəmiyyəti və Cadenza Orkestrinin birgə layihəsi olan "Call for scores 5" keçirilib. Müsabiqəyə daxil olan 15 əsərdən 4-ü seçilərək Cadenza orkestrinin və münsiflər heyətinin iştirakı ilə qiraət olundu. Müsabiqənin şərtlərinə uyğun olaraq, bir əsər -
"Causality" | Behrad Xosravi (İran) qalib elan edildi.
▪️ Bu dəfəki "Call for scores 5" müsabiqəsində Azərbaycanla yanaşı dünyanın müxtəlif ölkələrindən - Almaniya, İtaliya, Türkiyə, İspaniya, Çin, Meksika, ABŞ, Yunanıstan, Argentina - ümumilikdə 16 bəstəkar iştirak etmişdir.

In March 2026, Call for Scores 5, a joint project of the Baku Contemporary Music Society and the Cadenza Orchestra, was held.
Out of the 15 works submitted to the competition, four were selected and presented in a reading session performed by the Cadenza Orchestra in the presence of the jury. In accordance with the competition rules, one work was chosen as the winner: "Causality" by Behrad Khosravi(Iran).
▪️ In this edition of Call for Scores 5, alongside Azerbaijan, composers from Germany, Italy, Türkiye, Spain, China, Mexico, the United States, Greece, and Argentina took part. In total, 16 composers participated in the competition.
